From Michele Hartlove: On Feb. 12, the Illinois State Society of Washington, DC will host a reception at the Capitol Hill Club on the House side in DC to celebrate the 100th birthday of our former ISS president Virginia Blake who is also an Alpha Gamma Delta from the University of Illinois, Class of 1935. We will also crown the 2014 Illinois Cherry Blossom Princess that night who is Lauren Eiten, of the same house on the same campus only about 80 years after Virginia. If you know of any Alpha Gamma Delta sisters in the DC area, there are certainly welcome to attend as our guests from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for some hot reception food and birthday cake. Just ask them to send me their name so we can have a head count by Feb. 10. We will have a professional photographer take pictures so please let me know where to send the pictures.
