Alpha Gam Always on Sept 17th - registration open

Calendar of Events and Volunteer Signups

The summer is winding down and we are excited to announce our Fall and Winter event calendar.  Save the Date for any or all of the activities. Invites will be sent via email 3 weeks before each event, to gather RSVPs and provide final details.
The response to the recent email about changing up how we handle roles and responsibilities in ODAC was overwhelmingly positive. Many of you were excited to get involved in the club once again, with a small volunteer role as the perfect catalyst.
Check out the signup sheet for ways to connect with this wonderful community of sisters. Opportunities are color coded to help you pick one that is right for you:

red = hosting or planningbuff = online only, at a time that works for yougreen = easy, in person task.

Proposing a New Approach

Our lives are busy. DC Hustle + Working Moms + Rush Hour Traffic.  Sisterhood should not add to our list of duties.  In the spirit of less hustle + more grace, I'd like to propose a new way of doing business for ODAC this coming year.  
In the past, we elected a slate of officers who had very formal responsibilities designated by IHQ per our bylaws.  Those roles are valuable for operations, but they don't really contribute to the sisterhood of ODAC on a regular basis AND for various reasons, it always seems to be too much for one person to consistently take on for an entire year.
How would you feel about changing things up this year?  
Instead of officers, I propose we have sisters sign up for 1 responsibility, e.g. - schedule 1 event - bring 1 dish to 1 potluck - create 1 event invitation - attend 1 meeting and take notes - organize 1 event at a food pantry - host 1 get together

A Successful International Reunion Day

Thank you again to everyone who was able to join us for a fun celebration today.

Thanks to your generosity at the photo booth, we raised over $250 to donate to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.

Kick off 2016 with our first Treasure Hunt Party!

While every gift given during the holiday season is special, sometimes it's just not the right fit, you already have one in your home, or it might be better suited for someone else.
We're hosting our first "Treasure Hunt Party" on Sunday, January 10 at Christina Minderman's home to clear out those gifts and give back to the Foundation! Donate any items you think sisters would want to purchase (scarves, candles, kitchenware, etc), and we'll have tables set up for various price categories. All proceeds will go directly back to the Foundation's initiatives. Christina will provide a few snacks for us to enjoy during the party as well.
For parking, use the street and walk down the hilly driveway with the pelican mailbox. We're also happy to pick up any sisters from the metro station - Christina's house is one mile from Dunn Loring Metro and two miles from Tysons Corner Metro.
