Alpha Gam in the CITY!

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Join us for Alpha Gam in the City! Visit the National Museum of the American Indian with your Alpha Gam sisters! The museum is located on the National Mall between the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum and the U.S. Capital Building. It is also Metro accessable; just get off L'Enfant Plaza (Blue/Orange/Green/Yellow line) and exit Maryland Avenue/Smithsonian Museum. The National Museum of the American Indian houses one of the world’s largest and most diverse collections of its kind. The museum’s sweeping curvilinear architecture, its indigenous landscaping, and its exhibitions, all designed in collaboration with tribes and communities from across the hemisphere, combine to give visitors from around the world the sense and spirit of Native America. We'll meet at 10:00am in the front of the museum and then break for lunch around 12:00pm at the awesome Mitaitam cafe in the lower level of the museum. "Mitsitam&

International Badge Day: A Time to Remember

Monday, March 3, 2014 Fellowship, leadership and a lifelong commitment to community service are the daily themes in the lives of sorority women — from our college members to alumnae. On Monday, March 3, these women — who number in the millions — will celebrate International Badge Day during National Women’s History Month. On that day, all of us will honor our separate and distinct Greek-letter affiliations by wearing our badges or letters. It’s a day set aside to acknowledge successful women around the globe, whether they are U.S. senators or university freshmen working for humanitarian aid in far-away continents. The National Panhellenic Conference, one of the largest and oldest women’s organizations in the world, is not alone in celebrating and acknowledging all that women do. Other groups, such as the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations and the National Multicultural Greek Council, celebrate in their own diverse ways to recognize women. Each group i

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the University of Oklahoma Alpha Gamma Delta chapter

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the University of Oklahoma Alpha Gamma Delta whose Chapter House caught on fire the night of January 14th. If you would like to support the sisters in their recovery efforts, please donate below: Update! Foundation Announces New Emergency Disaster Relief Fund Last week we received one of the most frightening Fraternity calls we can ever receive. “There’s been a fire at the Upsilon (University of Oklahoma) Chapter house.” The thankful news - everyone is safe. The hard news – the chapter house is uninhabitable for the rest of the school year. Local advisors were onsite and lent support to the campus administrators who were scrambling to find a place for 61 women to spend the night. And there were other basic needs to consider: food, clothing, toothbrushes, school supplies and books …..the basic needs that are so easy to take for granted. In response, the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation has established a new Disaster Relief Fund to help provide im
