Alpha Gamma Delta Distinguished Citizens

This summer at International Convention, Alpha Gamma Delta honored three incredible women as 2012 Distinguished Citizens for their commitment and contributions to their communities, their government and to women in need. It is now time to begin the process of selecting the Distinguished Citizens to be honored at Convention 2014. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, January 25, 2013.

Nominees
Sisters in Good Standing who have made outstanding contributions and achievements in various fields and professions or in volunteer service in their local or religious communities are eligible for nomination. The achievements of the nominees should be unique and should clearly rise above and beyond all levels of expectation. Fields considered are: the arts, business, education, government, public service, religion, science and social service. In addition, nominees should have a connection to the Fraternity in alumnae life, such as being a member of an alumnae chapter or club, a speaker at International Reunion Day and/or a contributor to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation or to the Fraternity through payment of Alumnae Dues.

Submitting a Nomination
Nominations can be made by an alumnae chapter or club, a collegiate chapter or an individual member of the Fraternity. If you or your group has previously nominated a sister who was not selected, please update the nomination for her and resubmit it. You may make as many nominations as you feel are deserving of recognition.

Nomination forms are available in the Resource Center of myAlphaGam under Alumnae Forms.

The Distinguished Citizens introduced at Convention 2012 were amazing sisters. (View their bio videos.) Help us ensure that those we honor in 2014 are equally distinguished!
